Gallery of photographs from the Essex village of Tolleshunt Knights and the former Anglican Church of All Saints.

The Chapel of the Greek Monastery of St John the Baptist, located in Tolleshunt Knights, was formerly the Anglican Parish Church of All Saints. It is located just outside the village, near to the Monastery.

Established as the Patriarchal Stavropegic Monastery of St John the Baptist, this monastic community, directly affiliated with the Ecumenical Patriarchate, is the oldest Orthodox religious community in the United Kingdom.

This unique community operates as a double monastery, embracing both men and women who dedicate themselves to the monastic tradition of a Christ-centred prayer life. Currently, the community hosts nearly 40 monastics, predominantly nuns, with a smaller contingent of monks.

Following the passing of St. Sophrony of Essex in 1993, Father Kyrillos assumed the role of Archimandrite. Since his retirement in 2019, the position has been held by Father Peter.
