St. Nicola's Church dates from the 14th century and is a large, architecturally striking building seating approximately 400. In the churchyard, some gravestones have been laid flat to make a path.

The church has eight bells within the 65 feet tower. Its walls are constructed from a mixture of Roman brick, stone and flint and are in the region of 4 feet in thickness.
